Here we have a Triumph Trophy TR6C for Sale. Returned from the states some years ago, and sold to me as a frame and crankcases in 2019. Now registered on a UK suffix ‘J plate for 1971 and ‘sorned’. It is 52 years old therefore Road Tax and MOT exempt. I have spent more in parts than the asking price of the whole thing, and have an XL record sheet of expenditure. New camshafts, many bearings and all seals replaced, and an Electrex World flywheel mounted electronic ignition and lighting system fitted. So simple to install, a 5 year old could time and set up the engine. Does away with alternator, points,condenser,battery etc. All part polished up while dismantled, new rims,spokes,tyres,tubes and tapes. New seat and pipes.New clutch bearings and plates. Carb fully serviced. Lots I’ve forgotten. Few jobs to do to new owner’s taste. No speedo (was going electronic), light switch (lights always on when engine runs) no security (like key switched ignition or steering lock)) The engine number looks re-worked in an earlier life, so I am selling this as a non matching numbers machine, although the V5 is showing same numbers for engine and frame, and I have priced accordingly.
Collect from Brackley, Northants. Has been in the top shed all winter (under a cover), and showing a few signs of static storage, nothing a good bit of elbow grease and Mother’s or Solvol wouldn’t put right. Sale not urgent, and will entertain sensible offers. Now over 70 and retired so nothing urgent these days.
