For sale is a Yamaha RD250 with 34,000 miles on the clock. The frame and engine numbers match, and it has only had one rebore to 0.25. It has been fitted with electronic ignition, but the original points setup is also included if desired. All work has been done to UK specifications. The original exhausts are in good condition but have some dull chrome, so a set of aftermarket expansion chambers are included in the sale (see photo 10).
This bike was imported to the UK in 2019 and registered on 06.09.1977, back when all Japanese bikes were made in Japan. It has one of the sweetest sounding two-stroke engines I have ever owned.
The bike comes with loads of paperwork and history. It has been cherished and well-maintained and would make a great addition to any garage.
