For sale is a 1976 Yamaha RD400, originally a USA spec bike that was imported to the UK in April 2011. It has had two owners, one in the US and the current owner since 2011. The bike has 13,122 miles on the clock, which is believed to be genuine. It is in lovely condition and has been well-maintained over the years. The bike features a later “T” shaped instrument cluster and has been fitted with tinware and seat/rear light bracket to the later specification. The bike is matching numbers and starts easily, running really well. The carbs have been cleaned and rebuilt, petcock rebuilt with new seals, silencers re-chromed, engine re-bored, and rear brake calliper rebuilt, among other work. It is a lovely useable bike and comes with 2 genuine Yamaha tuning fork mirrors, 2 genuine Yamaha keys, and a Haynes workshop manual. Sold as seen with no warranty implied or given.
