1976 Yamaha Rd250 C Project Needs Finishing
For sale my 76 RD 250 C I have taken the bike as far as I want to and need the room so decided to sell, I bought the bike from a guy who imported it from Germany a few years back and never got round to do anything with it, he had the paint work done on tank and side panels and left it for a number of years.
After purchasing it I gave it to a local Motorcycle workshop who proceeded to go through it, he cleaned the carbs re timmed the engine fitted new ignition coils and HT leads, fitted new Air filter fitted new clutch cable fitted new rear brake caliper and pads and rebuilt the rear master cylinder rebuilt front master cylinder changed gearbox oil it was now running and I collected it, since I’ve had it back I’ve fitted new seat cover, new rear indicators and new front indicator lenses new mirrors new right hand switch gear new handelbars new battery and lots of bits and pieces, it starts easily and runs well, gearbox clutch etc all good all electrics/lights work as they should, it’s recorded on the custom nova system the dating letter he gave me has expired so I have a new which lasts for registration purposes one year, there is an area of rusting on front wheel rim but generally the wheels and hubs are good, chain and sprockets are good, exhausts are decent but do have a couple of tiny marks in chrome, so there it is just need a little fettling and registering.
