1975 Honda CB400 Four Original UK Registered Project Bike
1975 Honda CB400 Four Original UK Registered Project Bike
This Honda 400/4 motorcycle was originally purchased in the UK in 1975 and last used on the road in the early 1980’s. The current owner acquired it in 2017 along with another part-restored bike, and recently made it complete again. The carbs have been cleaned, o-rings replaced, and reset, while the front brake has been stripped and rebuilt. The paint job is a DIY rattle can job with clear petrol-resistant lacquer finish. The tires are old and the battery is good. The bike has a solid Motad exhaust and the original UK spec front mudguard, with some pitting on the chrome. Everything electrically works except the brake light off the front brake, but a spare used brake pressure switch is included. The seller has not ridden the bike but it starts easily and runs cleanly. The bike is sold as a project for re-commissioning/restoration and comes with a V5C in the seller’s name, but no other paperwork and unknown mileage. The registration number OAD 1P, which has been valued at £1500 by a number plate dealer, is included.
