For sale is a Yamaha RD250 in nice, clean, original condition. It was first registered in the USA and built in 1973, and was registered there in early 1974. I have the NOVA (Notification of Vehicle Arrival) and all tax and duties have been paid. I also have the Certificate of Title, so it’s easy for the new owner to register as no MOT or dating certificate is needed. The bike starts first kick and the engine sounds nice. All chrome work is in good condition and everything works, including the lights, indicators, and brakes. The bike is still in its original paint, but there are 2 small dents on the tank (see photos). The seat cover and base are excellent, and all wiring looks to be unaltered. A new tyre has been fitted to the rear. The chain and sprockets are all good, and the frame paintwork and engine cover paint are all very good. Footrest rubbers, grips, etc. are all very good. One genuine key works all locks, switches, fork stanchions, and headlight glass are all good. The mileage shows just over 8000 miles, and the way it starts and sounds gives me no reason to doubt that, but it is 45 years plus old! Other paperwork I have shows the last owner has had it from at least 1977 and possibly could have owned it from new.

I am selling this as a running project – as you see it is how I got it. No attempt has been made to tart it up and try to make it something it’s not! It will need going through and probably a couple of things doing. It’s sold as seen due to its age.
