For sale is my restored 1972 Suzuki T500, which has matching numbers and was originally imported from the USA in poor condition. The restoration included stripping and powder-coating the frame, brand new paintwork, vapour blasting the engine cases and polishing the covers, a full engine rebuild including a professional crank rebuild by Peter O’dell, and restoring original parts where possible. The chrome has been redone to a high quality, and the bike has new Avon Road Rider tyres.

It is fitted with Titan Performance expansion chambers and cone filters and has been jetted accordingly. Although a pair of original silencers is included in the sale, they are battered and have no baffles.

The bike runs and rides well and starts on the third or fourth kick regardless of how long it has been standing. I have covered over 500 miles on it since the rebuild, and it runs perfectly.

There are a few things left to be done, including a wheel rebuild (the wheels are tidy but have some rust spots and dull spokes), replacing the kick start spring which has lost its tension, replacing various chrome frame bolts and fittings to make it perfect, and addressing the slightly bent handlebars.
