1972 Honda CB350K4 Unregistered US Import
Up for auction is a 1972 Honda CB350K4 that has recently been imported from North America where it has spent its entire life. The bike is Tax & MOT exempt and is considered a much sought-after model. Although the seller mentions that the bike only has 7141 miles, they were unable to confirm this reading and advise potential buyers to disregard it.
The bike is nearly complete, missing only the battery and the left-hand mirror. It has been in dry storage for a long time, which has helped maintain its condition, but it will still require some work to get it running again. The paintwork is faded, the tires are perished, most of the chrome has rust pitted, the steering head bearings are very stiff, and the carburetors are stuck. The fuel tank has a large dent on the right side and rust spots in the paint.
However, the bike is remarkably original and is the actual motorcycle that you will be bidding on. The wheels are straight with working brakes, although the rims are pitted. The forks and yokes look straight, and the mudguards are both solid but pitted. The taillight assembly is good, as are the headlight and hangers. The instruments and switches look okay, and the paintwork is slightly faded but solid. The fuel tank is in a usable condition but will need to be cleaned and flushed. The exhausts are original and solid, and the seat base is in good condition. The indicators are tidy, and the chain guard and grab rail are also in good condition. The engine is cosmetically clean, turns over nicely off the kickstarter, and has compression. The seller has had it firing and running with the use of easy start spray, but the fuel system and carbs will need attention.
