To the best of my knowledge, this bike’s mileage is genuine. I replaced the gearbox sprocket with one that has higher gearing, and the primary drive looked like new. The tensioner didn’t have any wear grooves, so I can only assume that the engine hasn’t been worked on. I am the second owner and have only put 623 miles on the bike since owning it. It has electronic ignition and Hagon shocks, but the front brake is incorrect. I think this might be a factory thing, as BSA was nearing the end of production around that time and might have used up parts. I changed the actuator arms for slightly longer ones, but the brake may just need to be used to bed in the shoes. The original gearing and chain can be fitted if desired.
